UCS general track rules supersede car division rules. 2008 division rules supersede all previous editions
of the rules for SUPER TRUCK. Minimum age to compete in SUPER TRUCK is 14 years
old.
DEFINITION
The word “stock” will mean unaltered and as originally produced for that year, make and
model, including after-market replacement parts.
BODY STYLE
The truck body must be USA manufacturer full sized truck. No
midsize or mini trucks allowed. Plastic nose and tailpieces are allowed. FIBERGLASS
OR ALUMINUM BODY PANELS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Trucks must have full stock bodies,
including the hood, fenders, and bumpers. Body must remain in a stock position
on the frame. Beds must be covered top or bottom from cab to tailgate. If using
a cover on the top of the bed, it may not be higher than the edge of the side beds of box.
Must be stock appearing measurements. The tech committee MUST approve
any cutting on the truck body.
CHASSIS
The chassis must be one hundred (100) inch wheelbase, or more.
It must remain the same type as the body being used (for example: Camaro for Camaro, etc).
WEIGHT
All cars must weight 3250 pounds, clean, with the driver. All
cars will be weighed first time on the track and randomly during the season.
BALLAST
The recommended ballast to be used is extra roll cage bars or other types of reinforcement. Any removable
ballast mounting is subject to the Tech Committee’s approval. A ballast
weight attached to the car must be painted white and the car number painted on it. A
twenty-five ($25) dollar fine will be assessed to the driver if the ballast is lost on the racetrack.
WHEEL WELLS
Fenders may reasonably trimmed for tire clearance only. The
front and rear inner wells may be removed but rear wells are recommended.
HOOD
MUST BE SECURELY fastened. Must have quick release hood
pins. No bolts and nuts. Holes may be cut in hood for air cleaner.
DOORS
Doors must be welded or bolted shut.
FLOORBOARD AND FIREWALL
The stock floor pan must remain intact for driver and passenger compartments. The firewall must remain stock. Holes in the firewall must
be covered. Driver must remain isolated from the track.
BUMPERS
A stock bumper with stock mounts where possible. All others are subject to approval by the Tech Committee. Bumpers may be reinforced with one piece of pipe size one and five-eights (1 5/8”)
inches maximum OD. All pipes must be rounded on the edges. Reinforcements must
be concealed. Bumpers must be strapped to fenders. Front and rear tow loops are required and must be sufficient to lift car and allow easy hook up to tow
truck. No exposed nerf bars allowed. Rub rails will be allowed flush with body.
(Max 1” for width by 2” for height).
WHEELS
Steel spoke wheels are allowed. No aluminum wheels. Wheel offsets are optional. The maximum
rim width is eight (8) inches. 1” lug nuts mandatory.
TIRES
Tires must be manufactured for use on passenger cars. The
maximum width is ten and half (10 ½”) inches sidewall to sidewall. No tolerance. American Racer G60 tires with “IMCA” certification embedded into the sidewalls
are allowed. No wheel weights are allowed.
FRONT SUSPENSION
The front suspension MUST
BE THE ORIGINAL TYPE with modifications for handling
and safety.
REAR SUSPENSION
Stock mounting only. Ford nine inch (9”) rear-ends
are optional. Lowering blocks or spacers are optional. Locked or posi-traction rear ends are permitted.
SHOCKS/SPRINGS
Racing springs and shocks are allowed in stock mounting position only.
No coil-over units allowed. Second right front shock is optional.
ENGINE
OEM
Head and block must be cast iron, wet sump, no roller cams, no mushroom tappet cams, and no roller rockers. Hydraulic cams only, no mags, no external after market ignition boxes, no porting
polishing, or port matching of intake or exhaust manifolds or heads. Flattop
or dish top pistons only, cast iron or aluminum two (2) OR FOUR (4)-barrel intake manifold, stock type cast iron exhaust manifolds
or headers. Exhaust system must measure at least 40 inches from exhaust flange
with no larger that a 2 ½” inch inside diameter exhaust pipe maximum, (system must be securely attached). Standard transmissions must have steel flywheel, pressure plate and 10 ½” clutch minimum. Automatic
transmissions must have a full torque converter. Block, crank and rods all must
match (example: 350 crank with 350 block and 350 rods).
ENGINE SET BACK
The centerline
of the leading spark plug hole must be even with, or in front of, the centerline of the upper ball joint.
CARBURETOR
Must be Holley 4412 or stock 2bl. (500 CFM maximum) or smaller untouched inside the venturies. No ram air systems. One-inch carburetor
adapter is permitted. Choke air horn must be on carburetor.
